Dear Friend of the Museum,
The Alvin Museum Society is hosting a series of historical presentations from February 9, 2017 to March 2, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Alvin Historical Museum.
Board member Richard Klapper has put together slide shows featuring various critical periods in Alvin’s history. He used pictures and information found in our archives to create these presentations.
Over 4 weeks beginning on February 9, we are showing presentations on the following topics:
Thursday, Feb. 9 – George Bronner, Alvin’s early 20th-century photographer
Thursday, Feb. 16 – Alvin and the 1900 Hurricane
Thursday, Feb. 23 – Alvin’s Great Fire of 1902
Thursday, March 2 - The Alvin Depot
These will be shown at the museum from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. We hope you will come and learn more about Alvin’s history.
Sincerely,
Alvin Museum Society’s Board of Directors
